Pastor Joey McKinnies

Pastor Joey McKinnies was born in Flint, Michigan and lived there until he went into the ministry in the early 1980’s. He attended church under the pastorship of his father, Robert McKinnies and was licensed as a minister with the United Pentecostal Church International in 1986. His first pastorate was in Sebewaing, Michigan where he served the community for 8 years. He then accepted the pastorate in Cobden, Illinois until 2010 when he accepted the pastorate in Owosso, Michigan. He married the love of his life, Patricia Key, in 1981 and they have one son, Josiah. Pastor McKinnies’ philosophy is that everyone is important and should be reached for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pat McKinnies

Pat McKinnies is the wife of Senior Pastor, Joey McKinnies. She is enthusiastic about every area of the ministry for the Kingdom of God with a special passion in intercessory prayer and teaching the adult class. Although she wears many hats, Pat is thankful to work closely with the church leadership while playing the keyboard in the music ministry. She loves meeting new people, being a part of the church family and having the opportunity, throughout her life, of being involved in nearly every aspect of the ministry.

Daniel Hanifan

Dan and Doris Hanifan were married in August of 1983 and have been members of United Pentecostal Church of Owosso for over 50 years; raised apostolic, grown in Godly wisdom. Dan serves as board member, church treasurer for over 20 years and teaching the adult class. Doris is a Sunday school teacher and meal coordinator. They are blessed with three sons, two daughters-in-law and two grandchildren.

Tony Barnhill

Tony Barnhill moved to Owosso with his family at the age of 13 when they made United Pentecostal Church of Owosso their home. Although Tony was born into the Apostolic Pentecostal movement, he received his own experience when he was baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Spirt at 10 years old. He has served in several areas of the kingdom’s work from teaching to music. Tony is honored to be currently serving as Church Administrator/Sunday School Director, Board of Trustee Member and Teacher of both Adult and Hyphen classes, under the direction of Senior Pastor Joey McKinnies. Tony and his wife Julie have raised three children here and look forward to what the Lord has planned for Owosso.

Josiah McKinnies

Josiah McKinnies is the son of Senior Pastor Joey and Pat McKinnies. He is presently seeking the Lord’s guidance as an inspiring young minister while assisting the prayer team to help those seeking God at the altar. Josiah is eagerly looking forward as a next generation member of God’s Kingdom. He is excited to see what God has in store for all those willing to make United Pentecostal Church of Owosso their home.

Julie Bigelow

Julie Bigelow first attended UPCO as a child. She was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost at eleven years old. At sixteen, she started teaching and has taught people of all ages ever since. Her heartbeat, along with that of her husband, Jim is to be used by the Lord in whatever capacity is needed. She is currently one of the adult Sunday School teachers and is part of our praise and worship team. Jim oversees the media of the church as well as the maintenance of our building. They have been richly blessed with four children, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
